Sigma BF Camera Available in Malaysia Starting at RM9,688

The Sigma BF has been officially launched in Malaysia today. It is a full-frame L-Mount mirrorless camera equipped with a 24MP sensor. The camera comes with a minimalist design that focuses on better functionality. It is also equipped with three buttons on the back for control, in addition to the shutter button and power button.

The Sigma BF features an autofocus system that can identify humans and animals, making it the first time Sigma has used this subject recognition technology on their camera. However, this camera is not equipped with a mechanical shutter, image stabilization system, and is not suitable for use with a flash.

The camera comes with an internal memory of 230GB, which is said to be enough to store up to 14,000 images in JPEG format, 4,300 DNG RAW files, or 2.5 hours of high-quality video recording. The Sigma BF is also capable of recording 6K resolution videos at frame rates of up to 30P, or 4K created from 6K/30P resolution original footage.

In addition, the Sigma BF supports H.264 and H.265 recording formats and is equipped with Leica L-Log for easy color and tone editing. Image transfer can be done easily via the USB-C port located on the side of the camera. The body is also lightweight, weighing only 388g without battery.

In Malaysia, the Sigma BF is offered at a starting price of RM9,688 for the camera body only, while the camera package with 35mm F2 DG lens is sold for RM12,688. It can be pre-ordered now with an expected period of at least three months for this camera to be received.
