U Mobile has been selected as Malaysia's second 5G network provider, apart from DNB. In line with the offer, U Mobile has now stated that they will use network infrastructure technology from Huawei and ZTE in the development of the second 5G network.
Previously, DNB has been ready to use Ericsson technology for the development of Malaysia's first 5G network.
Through this U Mobile collaboration, Huawei technology is expected to be used to cover Peninsular Malaysia, while ZTE will be used for Sabah and Sarawak. At present, no transaction value has been announced by the parties involved.
