Due to unstable cellular network issues at work, I am more comfortable using phone calls using WhatsApp. I am also more comfortable using the same app for messaging because of its more user-friendly interface. For iPhone owners, you can now directly set WhatsApp as the default app for phone calls and messaging.
This feature is provided through the WhatsApp 25.8.74 update for iOS. To make the change, please go to Settings > Apps > Default Apps. Under the Calls and Messaging option, you can select WhatsApp as your device's default app. Previously, this feature was only provided to users in the European Union (EU) countries via the iOS 18.2 update.
To use this feature, please update the WhatsApp application and also the iOS operating system to the latest version today.
